Comment Policy

I hope you’ll have some things to contribute to my blog.  I enjoy reader comments because they enhance knowledge and provide a sense of community.  To keep things positive, constructive, and meaningful for all the readers here, please keep a few things in mind when posting comments:

  1. I moderate all comments.  I’m in favor of freedom of speech as a societal policy, but I will delete inappropriate, irrelevant, ranty or spammy comments. If you have a complaint against Microsoft, Windows Mobile, Windows Phone, go somewhere else to vent or create your own blog where you can freely share your thoughts.
  2. Keep comments on topic. Please feel free to comment on an article, but keep your comments on topic. If you have questions about the topic, have some useful thoughts about the topic, or need clarification about anything to do with the article topic, post a comment.  Please do NOT ask unrelated questions in comments.  If you have an unrelated support issue, create a thread on Microsoft’s Windows Phone Answers forum or you can chat with me via Skype (click the button in the panel to the right) or Twitter. I delete and will not respond to any comments that are posted to an article that are not “on topic.”
  3. Feel free to include relevant links to your own or someone else’s site in the comments you post.  Posting links to relevant websites promotes learning, shares knowledge, adds value to the conversation and improves the blog. If you leave a comment with a link in it that has no relevance to the post you’re commenting on it will be be deleted.

I delete comments that are not respectful, that are off topic, ranty, spammy, or that include irrelevant links.
